5:00 update - Readathon

Oh dear... I'm told I'm in the reader of the hour category... Lord bless and keep this blog through trial and adversity... Last two hours have gone very well - Silence is a fun book (though as with most stuff this old, one has to be prepared to accept the sometimes rampant classism and sexism). I honstly didn't expect it to be this amusing - sometimes on purpose, sometimes not (I now know two different old french slang phrases for 'homoesexual' - you just never know when that might come in handy...). I've read through 391 pages, and have read 9hours and 15 minutes. Yay! I threw our lasagna in the oven, after dinner I'll be reading for a bit, and then prepping for Eva's big Tarot reading! Huzzah!

Great job reading for so long! I haven't done too well with reading, since my kids have been running around all day, but after they go to bed, hopefully I can get some more done. Happy reading, and hopefully you can stay awake and finish more books!;)

I was wondering why I suddenly got a LOT of comments from people I didn't know, until I discovered that I was too! Enjoy the deluge ;-)

Hmm, I've read two books so far and listened to book tapes when I had to drive or shower, but I've spent a lot of time online... and snacking. Readathon has me ravenous- and normally I am not much of a snacker!

Lasagna? Wow, I wish I were at your house for dinner!

This is only the second time I've allowed myself on the computer since the read-a-thon began and I'm having much fun with the reader of the hour and discovering new blogs like yours!

I think you are doing a marvelous job! I have only read about 5 hours -- and spent the rest of the time catching up on new blogs and twitter!

Enjoy the rest of the read-athon weekend.

I could use a piece of that lasagna. I'm full up on snack foods, but now I wish I had some nice, normal food. *sigh*

Looks like you've been reading a ton. I've been doing a lot of blogging and visiting and mini-challenging and losing time, but hey, it's fun.

Hope you're having a great time - keep up the great reading (and have a piece of lasagna for me!)!

My husband has headed out for Subway. No telling what he will return with. Oh well. It's the effort that counts.

You are going along very well. Keep rowing!
